Wildlife Volunteering Ben Mor Coigach

When - Wednesday 10th January, 2018 , 10:00am
Where - Polglass

Shake-off the January blues and make a resolution to help remove litter from Achlochan Loch.

The spectacular Ben Mor Coigach wildlife reserve is a mixture of high peaks and rugged coastline with crofted and wild land covering over 5,000 hectares.  Golden eagles and ravens soar above the hills, golden plover nest amongst the heather, and ptarmigan live on the high ground. Majestic red deer are seen all year round and heard roaring during the autumn rut.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust manage this reserve for wildlife to flourish and visitors to enjoy.  The work is outside and physical so a reasonable level of fitness is required.  The Trust will provide all training and supervision and the opportunity for guided lunch-time walks to look for wildlife.

WHAT TO BRING: Warm outdoor clothing including waterproofs, sturdy boots or wellies, lunch, snacks and a drink.

Meet at the Broch car park.
