The first visit to Coigach for this great band.

“With a central ethos built around the band’s traditional Celtic roots, fiery tunes from fiddle, accordion, flute, uillean and Highland bagpipes bind powerfully to a rhythm section awash with elements of funk, jazz and rock to create some of the most innovative and uplifting instrumental music around.”

The local ceilidh trail with Kim Maclennan on accordion, Anna Buxton on fiddle and voice and Rory Matheson on piano will be providing the support for this concert.

Guided Walk on the Postie’s Path

When - Wednesday 13th June, 2018 , 10:00am
Where - Achduart

A guided hike along the Postman’s path to discover the plants, birds and other wildlife of Ben Mor Coigach. This upland walk is medium-difficult so you need to be in good health with a good level of fitness, suitable warm outdoor clothing and good sturdy walking boots. You must also bring sufficient food, snacks and water to drink. This walk is weather-dependent so you must get in touch with Michelle Henley (contact details below) if you intend to come.

Meet 10am at Achduart car park.


WHAT TO BRING: Warm outdoor clothing including waterproofs, sturdy boots or wellies, lunch, snacks and a drink.

The Coigach Gathering 2018

achiltibuie bagpipe specialistsThe Coigach Gathering is an annual get together in the community. Initially started to raise funds for our new hall it remains the main fund raising event to support it.

Centred around the hall and playing field with competitions, races, games, music, local food and activities indoors and out and some great raffle prizes.

All rounded off with a dance in the evening. A day out for all the family.

Jazz in the Village

The popular jazz duo of Ian Millar (saxophone) & Dominic Spencer (piano) performing at the Coigach Hall.

Traditional Music Session with Bob Massie

fiddle and mandolinAn evening session in the hall with special guest Bob Massie.  All welcome.

Drop in any time between 7.30 and 10.30 for as long as you like. Play,sing or just have a drink and a chat.

“A music session, traditional music session or simply session is a term often used to describe a social gathering of musicians. Sometimes a music session is referred to as a jam session. Much of the music at such events revolves around traditional music for the area or popular songs. A suitable venue might be a local hotel, public bar, village hall or private home. At a session musicians usually play or sing for pleasure and simply socialise with each other.”

This event is sponsored by Coigach Community Hall. Any donations to help cover our expenses will be welcome if you enjoy the evening.
