Mobile phone reception on the peninsula is variable but generally fairly good but data speeds are poor. The best supported networks are O2 and Vodaphone as is the case in other areas of the northwest highlands. Other providers such as Giff Gaff, Tesco and Sainsbury also use the O2 and Vodaphone networks.
The mountainous terrain affects reception in many areas so walkers climbers and seafarers should never be solely dependent on phones in an emergency. Please make sure you are properly equipped before setting out.
